'During World War II eleven-year-old Dita was hidden in the Nazi headquarters in Hungary's capital city, Budapest. She was separated from her parents and responsible for the care of her little sister Elizabeth. During the war she nearly starved to death, living on crumbs. After the war, reunited with her parents, who had also survived, the family migrated to Australia, where her father started a business, and they were able to resettle and build a new life as migrants.'
