AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'This book is a collaboration between both Senior and emerging Arrernte Educators to teach our children about the rhythms and patterns of country. We know the land is alive and rich with knowledge. This book is about the warnings country gives us: when the rain will fall, whether winter will be long or short, and how we know summer is coming. Featuring stunning illustrations of the animals and weather patterns in the Central Desert by local Arrernte artists. Country is our education system - it teaches and guides us. We are making these books to pass all this knowledge to our children.' (Publication summary)
