AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'Grace and Aaron grew up in a home where all they had was each other. At 16 years of age, Aaron was pushed to leave his family home behind. At 8, little Gracie tried following him with her bags all packed. He got away. At 16, Grace has grown up too soon, and her brother is long gone. That is, until he shows up promising to give her back the childhood that was taken from her.

'Saving Gracie shows teenage boyhood on one hand and teenage girlhood on the other, and frames light-hearted, coming-of-age tales with a deeper probe into the effects of domestic abuse and neglect on young people.'
