Richard West worked for an American bank, including extensive international postings, for twenty-five years. He then worked in China as a teacher of English. He holds a Bachelor of Journalism (University of the Sunshine Coast, 2013) and a Masters of Professional Practice (Creative Writing) (USC, 2018).
