There appears to have been a delay in broadcasting this and the preceding play, The New Venture: Public Enemy is first advertised for early March, and appears to have finally been broadcast on 14 March 1947, although some sources say 21 March.

In June 1946, 2UE announced it was seeking 25-minute original radio plays for broadcast as part of a series called Authors' Playhouse. The series began broadcasting in July 1946, and was broadcast on 2UE, 3DB, 4BK, and 5AD.
