Brad Mengel has worked in the Australian criminal justice system.
In addition to works individually indexed on AustLit, he has also written short works based on the creations of various pulp authors, including Les Savage ('Senorita Scorpion') and Charles Boeckman ('Johnny Nickle'). He is also the author of a monograph tracking the the figure of the serial vigilante in pulp fiction (Serial Vigilantes of Paperback Fiction: An Encyclopedia from Able Team to Z-Comm, McFarland, 2009).
