'Doings And Sayings Of Paul, The Winder Driver is Paul’s story. An intrepid winder driver plus other various occupations he undertook in his efforts to support his wife and five daughters, Paul’s work took him to Tennant Creek, from South Australia and on to Victoria, Tasmania and across to Western Australia then back to Tasmania. Along the way he met characters and heard stories. These stories gave colour to the social existence of miners in isolated areas such as Williamsford, on the top of Mt Read which is now a vanished town. The cemetery, the sole reminder of its existence.'
