'The Trifecta Club is an adventure story for high school students. Set in Victoria and centred on the week of the Melbourne Cup Carnival, three high-school boys known collectively as The Trifecta Club, due to their frequenting of racetracks, stumble on a plan by the criminal underworld. The criminals’ plot is to make a huge financial killing by illegal activity at the races. The Trifecta Club, against a background of rural depression, bullying and an attempted suicide, decide to try and expose this nefarious conspiracy. The result triggers an unexpected turn of events.'
