AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'War Correspondence is a story based upon the letters sent between my mother and father during WWII and the diaries she kept during this time while she was a nurse at Camperdown Hospital for Children.

'Based upon the two crises that were simultaneously occurring, one; the war in North Africa (and subsequently the Pacific) involving my father; and the other, the distress my mother faced as a young nurse confronting young children dying of whooping cough and her concern for my father’s welfare.'
