AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'Why did the old fairy pronounce to Sleeping Beauty’s folks that spinning would be the death of her? Did it have something to do with spinning hemp for merchant ship sails? What did cutting an apple in half and sharing it with a young woman really mean to Snow White’s step mother? What does climate change have to do with Hansel and Gretel? And hiding Rapunzel away in a tower might seem excessive to us, but was there another side to the story? Another side to history? Perhaps these yarns need to be spun again, and this time woven differently. Welcome to Reweaving The World.'
