AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'Reflecting on his school years in the late 1940s, his National Service in an infantry regiment of the British army and his time as a police constable with the Liverpool City Police (UK) from 1958 until he emigrated to Tasmania in 1970; the stories in I Remember When … encompass a lifetime of memories. The police stories are as true as Ken Baker can remember them. Some of the others are fiction.'
