BiographyHistory

Ren Perkins is a Quandamooka man with connections to Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island). He also has connections with Cherbourg and Eidsveld (both on Wakka Wakka country). Ren has been involved in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander education for many years. He is passionate about contributing to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities through education.

In 2020, Ren was currently enrolled at the University of Queensland, undertaking a PhD through the School of Education. His thesis is Indigenous teachers' voices on why they stay in the profession.
