BiographyHistory

Australian Christian missionary, who had been working in India for evangelical missionary groups and in leprosy hospitals, since 1965.

In 1999, he and his two sons were killed by a group who claimed affiliation with a fundamentalist Hindu organisation, Bajrang Dal: the group set fire to the car in which the three were sleeping.

Graham Staines has been the subject of biographical works and a film.
