'Kim and her strange band of companion s found a starship in an ancient hangar on the world of Nexis and, against all odds, made it into space. But if Kim thought that was hard, all she has to do now is organize some more crew, steal an ancient religious artifact so the Americans can get into space as well, and end a 50,000-year-old war against an enemy she doesn't understand. And she has to do all that just so she can fight the battle that really matters.
