BiographyHistory

'Helen Gregory is a professional historian and consultant in Queensland history and cultural heritage conservation. She has written many commissioned histories including Expressions of Mercy: Brisbane’s Mater Hospitals 1906–2006Playing for Keeps: C&K’s first century1907–2007 for Queensland’s Creche and Kindergarten Association and histories of the Endeavour Foundation and MontroseAccess. She has written historical backgrounds for major museum exhibitions, including an exhibition at the State Library of Queensland on Brisbane’s nineteenth-century floods. Helen taught at the University of Queensland and was an Adjunct Professor in the Department of History. She was also Director, Cultural Heritage, at Queensland’s Environmental Protection Agency, which protects the state’s cultural heritage places.'
