'Twin brother and sister Josh and Joan Burns formed CrossBread, the hugely successful Christian Rap duo from Boronia in Melbourne's outer suburbs back in 2015. The band briefly lit up GodTube in Australia and became Christian hip-hop superstars, with hits such as "It's Just Jesus", "A Christian on a Mission (ain't a Christian to be dissin')" and their smash hit Christmas single, "Merry Crossmass". But even though they burned brighter than the star of Bethlehem, the band ended up being destroyed quicker than Sodom and Gomorrah.

'Over six episodes, their former social media manager, Ken Lim, will dig into the archives to trace their origins working in a donut shop, why it all fell apart so quickly, and their biggest regrets - like why a brother and sister would name their band "CrossBread".

'The Bible might be the greatest story ever told. But this could easily be the second or third best.' (Production summary)

Year: 2019

winner form y separately published work icon 19 Weeks Emily Steel , Wales (UK) : British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) , 2019 16969871 2019 single work radio play

In 2016 writer Emily Steel had a termination after her baby was diagnosed with Down Syndrome. 19 Weeks tells her story with brutal honesty.

Emily used to think that people that had 'late' abortions weren't very smart or responsible. A late termination wasn't really ok. Yet here she is, being ushered through protesters, putting on a hospital gown, having an IV drip inserted. Emily is 19 weeks pregnant. The two-day abortion procedure is about to start, but the anaesthetic doesn't seem to be working...

According to recent statistics 1 in 3 women in the UK have had an abortion and 95% of those say they don't regret it. Yet the subject remains taboo. 19 Weeks is a raw account of the emotional, physical and philosophical battles Emily encountered throughout her late pregnancy termination.

Eve Myles stars as Emily in this true and visceral story.
