1 Gunga-na Dhum-nganjinu : The Stories We Hold Tightly Isobel Morphy-Walsh , Hannah Morphy-Walsh , Larry Walsh , Vic Morphy , 2023 single work drama

'History, religion, environmental knowledge, and law are woven, bound, and connected in the stories that have passed from generation to generation. They change and move subtlety as the times do. The past and future always echo in the present tense.

'Join this family of storytellers – Uncle Larry WalshVictoria MorphyHannah Morphy-Walsh, and Isobel Morphy-Walsh – as they weave creation, song, story, and movement together to tell the big stories that travel through the generations. You know the ones. Today we are descendants using our history, connections, and worldview as guides. But tomorrow we will be ancestors being reinterpreted and told anew.

'Hear songs of healing, see harvest through dance, hear of the platypus and how he connects to the spent criminal conviction act and the stolen generation, hear words of weavers!'

1 The Fae Tré Turner , 2021 single work drama

'An ethereal garden tucked away in the city is a-flutter with Fae. But within the whimsy and the glamour spells, you’ll find a truth.

'Stone Motherless Cold (Arrernte) captures the similarities between the origins of fairies and early colonial writings on Blak peoples in this tale of displacement. Where is the space for queer Blak people? Is it only in these isolated gardens?

'Part of the Motherless Collective, Stone Motherless Cold frolics amongst us as a 2019 Vic NAIDOC LGBTQIA+ winner. They might be a crystalline posing as human, but this Arrernte gem is a master of performance art, dance, spoken word and visual art.'

1 Soul of Possum Brodie Murray , 2021 single work drama

'Something’s coming. Stick together to survive.

'It’s 1853 on the Murray River: Wamba Wamba Country. A dire warning lands at Wirramanda’s feet. As a band of white strangers are led by a loose-cannon Captain deep into indigenous territory, Wirramanda and young warriors Dindi and Warru must rely on their instincts and one another to survive. Meanwhile, on board the paddle steamer that pursues them, will a split in the ranks rock the colonial boat?

'Emerging playwright Brodie Murray (Wamba Wamba) draws on stories handed down from his grandfather and father to tell this historical thriller.

'This performance is a presentation of Brodie’s debut play Soul of Possum, an exploration of the contrasting relationships that settlers and Blak peoples have with Country, ecology, leadership and spirituality.'
