Ben van Gelderen is a Lecturer in Education and Co-ordinator of the Growing Our Own project. He has worked as an English teacher, chaplain, teacher/ linguist, English as Additional Language/Dialect (EAL/D) consultant and curriculum advisor in independent and Catholic schools across New South Wales and the Northern Territory.
