BiographyHistory

Pauline Ryan Namija was born at Jimparrak (old Wave Hill Station), and worked at Wave Hill and Cattle Creek Stations. Following Vincent Lingiari's strike against poor employment conditions, Pauline walked off Wave hill Station to Daguragu (Karu, p.x).

Pauline is a founding Director of the Karungkarni Art and Culture Aboriginal Corporation. Her art has been exhibition throughout Australia as part of Still In My Mind: Gurindji Location, Experience and Visuality.
