A Fresh Canvas : The Uluru Statement Is Headed for Referendum, Stephen Fitzpatrick , single work essay

'The article offers information on the agreement related to the Uluru statement. Topics include that the Uluru Statement proposed Indigenous voices, on Indigenous Australians' behalf; Statement from the Heart has been mistaken for poetry, and it certainly can inspire, as the best manifestos do, but it sprouts from the fire-readied seeds of public policy reform; and discusses that proposal had been based not on any polling, but simply on the fact most referendums have been unsuccessful.' The Desperate, Secretive Drama, Kate Cole-Adams , single work column

'The article offers information on Angela Williamson's essay in "Choice Words: A collection of writing about abortion." Topics discussed include several writers who explore the ways in which, in the absence of any useful discussion of the topic at home or school, popular culture shaped their early attitudes towards abortion; and her story is visceral and angry, sad, intimate and at times darkly comic.'
