'It’s a long build up to a very big wet and the frogs are singing out for rain. Broome Prison sits across the road from the Sober Up Centre, like another resort in a tourist town, promising a temporary reprieve from the tightening cycle of “black out” drinking.
'Written by Dan Lee, directed by multiple-award-winner Iain Sinclair and featuring a stellar cast, Bottomless is both heart wrenching and side-splittingly funny. It captures the diversity of Broome’s residents and reminds us that no group is out of addiction’s reach.' (Production summary)
