BiographyHistory

Boorong was the daughter of Maugoran, a Burrumattagal elder, and Goorooberra, whose name means “firestick”. She was born in the Parramatta area in the 1770s and was about 12 when the Europeans arrived. Boorong was Bennelong's third wife.
