Curtis Roman has taught in Indigenous Studies, education, anthropology and human resource management. He was later the head of the School of Indigenous Knowledges and Public Policy at Charles Darwin University.
Curtis is the first Larrakia person to graduate with a PhD from Charles Darwin University and the first Indigenous man to graduate with a PhD from CDU.
