Frances An is a Vietnamese-Cantonese-Australian writer, originally from Sydney, where she was a member of the writers' collectives Finishing School and NewWritersGroupINC. She completed an Honours degree in Psychology at Western Sydney University, and went on to undertake a PhD in Western Australia.
