Raised in Hobart, Tasmania, Eleri Harris holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne, a graduate diploma in journalism from RMIT, and a Master of Fine Arts from the Center for Cartoon Studies, Vermont, USA. While in America, she worked as associate editor of The Nib, including on their Eisner Award-nominated anthology, Eat More Comics.
In 2015, Harris returned to Australia and took up a post teaching journalism at the University of Canberra.
