Osher Gunsberg was born in London to a Lithuanian mother and a Czech-Jewish father, and moved to Australia when he was four months old. He was raised in Brisbane.
Under the stage name 'Andrew G', he worked as a television host in Australia for many years, including on Australian Idol, The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and Bachelor in Paradise.
In 2018, he released his memoirs.
Gunsberg was also part of the Brisbane band scene in the 1990s, including a period with a 'funk-metal' band called Feeble's Junky, and a period playing double bass with Brisbane hip-hop band Resin Dogs.
