BiographyHistory

Phoebe Grainer Phoebe is a Kuku Djungan, Muluridji, Wakaman, Tagalaka, Kunjen, Warrgamay and Yindinji woman from Far North Queensland, raised in Far North Queensland, Northern Territory and Western Australia.

Grainer's play with Wendy Mocke, Julbu Meri, was included in Darlinghurst Theatre Company's development program in 2020, with dramaturg Rachael Maza and actors Gloria Bose and Abbie Lee-Lewis. The play explores the lived experiences of an Aboriginal woman and Papua New Guinean woman, growing up as black women in Australia.
