BiographyHistory

'Chella Goldwin is an Erubian woman and traditional owner from Erub Island and the Meriam Mer language group in the Eastern Torres Strait Islands. She has been working in the Department of the Environment and Energy for almost a decade taking a couple of years off to work and live in the remote communities of Yirrkala, East Arnhem in the Northern Territory and Bamaga, Cape York Peninsula in Queensland. Chella has spent her working career to advance outcomes for Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islanders and has a passion for working and living in remote communities. She has rich life experiences to draw from when writing. She is a writer, a poet and a tamed activist. Chella loves spending time with her two dogs, family and catching up with friends.'
