BiographyHistory

Australian musician, best known as the mainstay guitarist singer-songwriter for the pop and indie-rock band Augie March. Some of his lyrics have been separately published.

Richards has said (in Jeff Jenkins' 50 Years of Rock in Australia) that Augie March's best-known song, 'One Crowded Hour', was inspired by war photographer Neil Davis, whose biography by Tim Bowden is called One Crowded Hour (taking the title from British poet Thomas Osbert Mordaunt's poem 'The Call').
