BiographyHistory

'Scott Alderdice has worked as a lecturer in Theatre at the University of Southern Queensland for twenty years. In 2004 he co-founded the long running USQ Shakespeare in the Park Festival, for which he has directed 7 mainstage productions and wrote and directed three clown-based adaptations of Shakespeare’s works. In 2009 Scott began developing Working with Shakespeare, an online video-based learning portal aimed at assisting teachers in integrating theatrical practice and collaborative approaches to in-class learning experiences in the study of Shakespeare. As a part of that project he has written more than seventy ‘video-essays’ which scaffold student-driven theatrical investigation and interrogation of Shakespeare’s works.' (TEXT 48)
