BiographyHistory

'Aileen Marwung Walsh is a Pila Nguru (Spinifex People) and Noongar. Her life since the age of twenty-four has been a combination of raising four children, study and work, hence her children are very familiar with universities and have fond memories of their childhoods associated with them. She is now an Assistant Professor at the University of Western Australia where she teaches Aboriginal history, Indigenous research and Indigenous knowledge. Her research interests include the naming histories of Aboriginal people.’
