BiographyHistory

Solli Raphael is an award-winning author, poet, advocate, and keynote speaker.

Solli has 'broken barriers in making poetry more accessible and relatable for everyone. His poetry has racked up critical acclaim and awards, been featured in university textbooks and documentaries, and on over 50 radio and TV appearances'.

Solli has published three books, 'which have received accolades for their capacity to engage children and teenagers in poetry and social concerns'. His debut book Limelight was published in 2018 and features a collection of Solli’s slam poetry. It explores themes of sustainability and social equality, whilst highlighting the importance of creativity and the power of social consciousness. Shortly after publication in North America in 2019, Limelight won the Nautilus Book Award for contributing to social change. His second book, Spotlight (2020), tackles concerns facing teenagers today and features advice about writing as a young person and how to find your voice.

His latest book, 29 Things You Didn't Know About Me (2022), promotes imagination, individuality, and identity, by demonstrating the value of friendship through a funny and poetic sleepover adventure.
