AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'The other play is of a pre-war family lawyer, in a post-war fiendish air raid. He has read of the etiquette of war, its courtesies and its gallantry, and he cannot realise that modern war is a battue [sic], a butchery, a blasting out of life.'
