Show notes:

• Benjamin remember reading Roald Dahl and Paul Jennings  as a child, and graduated to Stephen King relatively early. His main reading obsession, however, was magazines, especially Rolling Stone. 
• Ben first came across the works of David Sedaris  in magazines, and Sedaris’ work has influenced Benjamin’s. 
• The Lifted Brow , a literary journal, published Law School in late 2017 as one of the first works on their new imprint. 
• Moral Panic 101, Benjamin’s 2017 exploration of Federal Government policy on safe schools, drew heavy fire from The Australian. This put Benjamin in good company, with other public figures including Tim Soutphommasane and Yassmin Abdel-Magied . 
• ​ Season 1 of  The Family Law screenplay was co-written with Marieke Hardy and Kirsty Fisher. 
• Ben has never read (and doesn’t intend to read) The Lord of the Rings, A Picture of Dorian Grey, Catch-22 or Ulysses, but he is looking forward to reading Patrick White’s Voss : A Novel (one day).
