'Dr Michelle Johnston is a senior lecturer in Screen Arts at Curtin University. She was born in Perth and began her career as a film and program maker with ABC Television and then moved into academia in 2000. She completed a PhD on Indigenous community media in 2013, which included the production of the television program Noongar Dandjoo, which is broadcast on NITV.'
