'Deborah Tout-Smith is Senior Curator, Cultural Diversity, Museum Victoria

She works on collections, research and exhibitions in the History and Technology deparment.

'Deborah Tout-Smith curates several collections within the History Technology Department: Cultural Diversity, Clothing and Textiles, Childhood and Youth, and jointly curates the Military History collection with Charlotte Smith. Together these collections comprise over 100,000 objects.

'Deborah has qualifications in history, sociology and prehistory. She holds a Master of Arts (Public History) from Monash University and an Honours degree (History and Sociology) from La Trobe University.

'Deborah has worked as a curator/registrar since 1988, including positions at the Western Australian Museum, Ohio Historical Society, Provincial Museum of Alberta and San Diego Museum of Art. Prior to joining Museum Victoria, she was an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Human Ecology at the University of Alberta (2000-2003).'
