'In March 1992. footage was released to the media of a 'charity' event held in an outback New South Wales (NSW) town attended by members of the NSW police force. Two of the police present at the event were filmed wearing 'blackface', and with nooses hanging from their necks as they enjoyed a cold beer. As the camera approached one of the dishevelled 'minstrels' he announced, 'I'm Lloyd Boney', a reference to an Aboriginal man who had been violently killed while in police custody, in that state, in 1987.
