History

Managed by the Rhonda Jankovic Society for the Promotion of Social Justice through Literature, the award began in 2013 as a poetry award. In 2015, two categories were offered: poetry and short story. The award has been judged by Philton, Avril Bradley, Kevin Brophy, Judith Rodriguez, and Thomas Shapcott, among others.
