BiographyHistory

'Dr Jo Caffery has worked with remote Indigenous adults across northern Australia over the last 20 years. She has taught Indigenous people linguistics skills so that they can document and maintain their own traditional languages. Jo has also taught linguistics at the Australian National University before joining University of Canberra where she teaches preservice teachers the skills to embed Indigenous and EAL/D perspectives in their unit and lesson plans. Jo's research interests include linguistic and cultural diversity and bilingual education.' (The Australian Journal of Indigenous Education Volume 45 Issue 2)
