Harriette Richards has been a doctoral candidate at the Institute of Culture and Society at Western Sydney University. Her background is in political science, international relations and sociology. Her research focuses on the cultural history of Aotearoa New Zealand through an examination of the melancholia of sartorial re-presentation.
