Managing director of Random House NZ for nine years, Juliet Rogers then moved to Australia to adopt the complementary role in Random House Australia. From 2002 to 2011, she was CEO of Murdoch Books, and since then has run her own company, The Wild Colonial Boy, a combination of publisher, high-end stationers, and industry consultancy.
Rogers has chaired Booksellers New Zealand and been president of the Australian Publishers Association (until 2009); as of 2018, she remains the CEO of The Australian Society of Authors, a position she has held for some years, and chair of the Indigenous Literacy Foundation, a role she has held since 2013.
