BiographyHistory

The daughter of artist Charles Blackman, Bertie Blackman is an independent musician, beginning with folk-infused acoustic music but moving towards more of a rock sound in later albums. She also provided backing vocals on the Something For Kate track 'The Futurist.'

In addition to her music, she scripted the film After the Smoke, and published both a children's book inspired by her father's work and a memoir.
