History

This award is separate to the general 'poetry' category in the ACT Writing and Publishing Awards, and is given to an emerging Australian poet. It is awarded in collaboration with Demos Journal.

Until 2020, this was part of the ACT Writing and Publishing Awards. Subsequently, it became part of the new ACT Literary Awards.
