BiographyHistory

Australian academic, whose research focuses on contemporary fiction, student engagement, and the pedagogy of reading well. She holds both a BA and an MA from The University of Auckland and a PhD from the University of Toronto. She has been involved in long-term research into reading resilience, carried out with academics including Kate Douglas, Tully Barnett, Anna Poletti, and Rosanne Kennedy. Her work into increasing student engagement in reading has brought national citations.
