Circulating throughout the Armadale – Brunswick Districts, Embracing Brunswick, Harvey, Yarloop, Waroona, Pinjarra, Marrinup, Mandurah, Jarrahdale, Munbdijong and Armadale.

From 27 August 1920 the masthead title changed to The South Western Advertiser and Murray-Wellington Times. The distribution area was also identified as 'circulating from Armadale to Brunswick, also through Hotham Valley Branch Line.'

In January 1944 the title again changed, this time to the South-Western Advertiser and South Suburban Sentinal. It returned to its original title, the South Western Advertiser from 14 February 1946.
