A three verse poem written by Edith Sterling Levis prior to 1943, 'My Surrender' was set to music by English-born, but Australian resident composer Horace Keats.
Notes
Although the manuscript for 'My Surrender' is undated, research conducted by Horace Keats family demonstrates that the composer began setting Edith Sterling Levis's poetry to music in early 1943 (sighted Brennan Keats. 'Notes on Horace Keats and this Song.' 2012) .
