Walker Studio engage with design, high-quality illustration and superior production values. Karen Lotz, managing director of the Walker Group says the imprint will release books for book lovers' and feature the company’s authors and illustrators as well as debut artists and books in translation. She further notes:
We hope that even from across a bookstore, these titles will entice book-lovers of all ages to come close – and that in the hand, the books will offer tactile appeal, fascinating content, and beautiful images that linger with the reader. This imprint will be an expression of our love for the printed book.Walker Studio was launched in September 2016 with four titles, among them Shaun Tan's The Singing Bones (published with a new foreword by Neil Gaiman).
