History

Conducted by The Jindyworobak Club, the W. J. Miles Memorial Poetry Prize was an Australia-wide competition. Conditions of entry was for a poem on not less than 200 lines, revealing a love of Australia and open to all Australians. The prize was £50. (http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article96778283)
