History

The Rolf Boldrewood Literary Awards honour Rolf Boldrewood, the pen name of Thomas Browne, who during his time as a police magistrate in Dubbo wrote Robbery Under Arms, one of the first major Australian novels. The competition aims to foster the writing of prose and poetry with an Australian content. Prose entries must be no more than 3000 words, while those for poetry have a limit of 80 lines.

The awards were concluded in 2017.
