History

'Each year ARRA holds awards for the best romance books in a number of categories.

'The ARR Awards recognise favourite romance fiction for the previous year as chosen by ARRA members.'

The awards began with five categories in 2008, and expanded over time. The categories also include works by international authors: only Australian authors are indexed.

Note: The award also has a series of 'Members' Choice' awards, such as 'Favourite romance that made me cry', 'Favourite romance with laugh-out-loud moment', and 'Favourite Australian romance'. These categories change, and are not individually indexed on AustLit.
